Build background service with Qt on android

I want to build an Android service, I hope that building a console application for Android will do the trick but it doesn't worked.
I think that when you create a console application in QtCreator, it shouldn't create an activity based application but a service that load your Qt code and that's running on your phone for, for example building background network applications.
