Invalid URL error when using "Update Components" function

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      After installing the package, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, right click on QtSDK and select "Change". In the resulting Wizard, select "Update Components".

      The wizard now displays an error "Invalid repository URL:\nhttp:/qt5repository/windows/x32/online_qt5sdk_repo.". This URL does appear to be invalid (there should be two slashes after the colon).

      The following information was provided by the Installer Framework maintainers:

      "The URL comes from your config.xml. There should be an section like this:

      <RemoteRepositories>
      <Repository>
      <Url>http://www.yourcompany.com/packages</Url>
      </Repository>
      </RemoteRepositories>

      Here is some more documentation:

      http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/qtifw-1.2/ifw-globalconfig.html
      http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/qtifw-1.2/ifw-online-installers.html#configuring-repositories

      Please note that the Required tag is not supported anymore. The URL specified there is used from the maintenance/updater/package manager to access the online repo for updates etc..."
