When using remote control, syncContents doesn't work after a setCurrentFilter change

Steps to reproduce:
In host application, execute the remote command "setCurrentFilter <filter>; setContent <url>; syncContents\n"

Expected result:
The page with the given URL is loaded, and the table of contents has that page highlighted.

Observed result:
The page with the given URL is loaded, but the table of contents does not update. The message Could not find the associated content item. is displayed in the status bar.
