Description
I'd installed a Qt 4.7.4 on Snow Leopard; it included pkg-config files in ~/QtSDK/Desktop/Qt//474/gcc/lib/pkgconfig.
After moving to Mountain Lion on a new machine, and copying over my home directory with Migration Assistant, when trying to build the Qt version of Wireshark with the 4.7.4 SDK, the build failed because a #error in a header file indicate that, apparently, Mountain Lion wasn't supported by 4.7.4.
I tried downloading and installing the 4.8.4 "Qt libraries 4.8.4 for Mac and debug libraries", but they didn't include the .pc files.
Given that I'm a core Wireshark developer, and one of the things I'm working on is getting Wireshark builds using autotools (the default build environment on all UN*Xes for Wireshark is autoconf+automake+libtool), I need the .pc files; it appears that I'll get them if I build Qt from source and install, but it would be useful if it installed them from the binary package as well.
