Device flickers badly when orientation switch happens

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      1. Run some non-fullscreen Qt application (e.g. Wiggly) in device (not in emulator).
Start some S60 AVKON application that has status pane, for example Settings.
Use FastSwapWindow to bring Wiggly on top of Settings application.
Make an orientation switch (depending on device, either by tilting the device, opening a sliding keyboard...)

==> Notice that the AVKON application flickers badly underneath Qt application when orientation switch occurs.

      2. Repeat the test, but this time with AVKON application that has no status pane, for example Image Viewer with fullscreen image open.

==> Notice that while the AVKON application again flickers, it is not flickering that badly.

      3. Repeat the test #1 with FastSwapMenu open on top of Wiggly.

==> Notice that there is almost no flicker at all.
