Documentation for QAudioInput::start is not sufficient

"Returns a pointer to the QIODevice being used to handle the data transfer. This QIODevice can be used to read() audio data directly.

I miss information whether a new QIODevice start or whether the same device is returned whenever I invoke start.

I also miss information about ownership: Do I have to delete that object? When does it get deleted?
