persistent model indexes and subclassing models

There is not a lot of documentation on how to deal with persistent model indexes when subclassing models and doing this right is pretty tricky.

It would be nice with an example of a complicated subclass of QAbstractItemModel that changes its persistent model indexes.

The docs could probably be expanded on this as well.
