Increase number of recent projects

For many real-world applications, the list of recent projects is quite short. Often a project you need has just fallen off the list, and needs to be browsed for.
The welcome screen is also more than large enough to accommodate many more recent projects (e.g. on my system with only 1024 pixels of vertical resolution, it is half empty). If a recent project cannot be selected because the screen is too small, the user is no worse off than right now.
Alternatively, the list could use a scroll bar.
