example and documentation to get existing file/dir is needed

Not sure if this is the right category for this...

I need to take some install decisions during run time, but just a messagebox wouldn't do. I need to be able to enter a path. Ideally, I would like to be able to launch a file browser dialog, or inputdialog, but I can't instantiate these qobjects from the script.

Do you have any suggestions/plans to be able to accept input from user during run time?
I have taken a look at your messaboxhandler.cpp and I wanted to check on any suggestions you may have before undertaking a similar task for another kind of dialog.
