Incrementing offset in display coordinates

When starting any application on a linux embedded system running on ARM, occasionally I see an offset in my display. Each time my display is repainted, the offset increments by a few pixels. Killing and restarting my application usually fixes the problem. I use a rotated 7" 480x800 LCD (QWS_DISPLAY=Transformed:Rot90).
