Description
It took an experienced support engineer a whole week toget a board up and running with Qt for Embedded Linux. This engineer was not familiar with embedded linux but knew Qt and Linux very well. This, together with other anecdotal information, indicates that there is a strong need for a getting started guide for Qt for Embedded Linux.
There is already a lot of information available but much is hard to find and in different places (e.g. where are the fonts placed on the target device). The guide should take a customer through all the steps of installation, building and then running the application on a target. Different build configurations should be discussed. QVFB should be covered as well. The qconfig tool shouldalso be discussed. Perhaps a good way to get this task done is to get a fresh pair of eyes to go through this exercise and then document what came up.
