Possibility to mark the current item + jump to marked item with some shortcut

The case:
I'm working on translating an item which contains a long sentence. In this sentence there is a word which can be translated in many different ways. I remember I've already translated that word before. What I do: Ctrl+F, type a word which I want to find, press Return, press F3, F3, F3 - here I go. Now I want to get back to my item which I was working - there is no easy way.

Solution: before I invoke search dialog I mark my current position (with some shortcut). I do search, then I jump back to my marked position with some shortcut.
