OSX 10.9.0, Xcode 5.0.1, Qt 4.8.5 Cocoa
Description
We have a complex medical visualization software, that started to show OpenGL render/display issues after upgrading Macs to Mavericks (OSX 10.9). The render issues are reproducible and not dependent on the graphics chip (tested against ATI 5870, Nvidia 9400, Nvidia 650). The render windows sometimes (but reproducibly) just show arbitrary contents after being created (see first image). If we change the configuration of the OpenGL context of the render window interactively, e.g. switching on retina display support, the newly created context shows the renderings fine. Using the OpenGL Profiler on OSX did not reveal any obvious mistakes. Does anybody else encounter OpenGL render issues on Mavericks? Any help would be appreciated. I could also provide the application binary if that would be helpful.
Could the code in qt/src/opengl/qgl_mac.mm QGLContext::updatePaintDevice() for Cocoa be a hint, you mention a timing issue in the Cocoa section when attaching the context to the view?
