    Description

Many people are trying now to use Qt as an android development environment. Yet the impression of opening the nice gallery of examples and finding non of them really working is 100% TURN OFF. All that nice work on Android Port is lost with that first impression of a bunch of open source amateurs - putting up non-working examples up front.

And let's make that understood, I like Qt allot and I will wait for it to work better. Support it as much as I can, but the Android port just can't run 95% of the examples in the gallery.

The examples may run on the emulator, if you don't consider WebKit (of which many of the examples use) that is missing totally from the recent android port. GUI not being sized to Mobile phone size is the least issue, but some of the examples require Android permissions to be set, and are not.. So these examples, like the photo-surfer simply cannot read the photos, nor browse the folders of a non-rooted phone.

So as to my suggestion, as I posted to the qt-mailing list titled: "on false promises". Better remove all examples from the Android port for now. Leave only the 100% working examples in (if there are any...) and add them later - WHEN THEY WORK.
