    Description

Using Qt 5.4.0 certain Unicode symbols aren't rendered, appearing instead as boxes. Since they do render using Qt 4.8.6 on the same machine (with the same set of fonts) this would seem to be a Qt 5 bug. I'm not sure how to tell you what exact version was built. Let me know if you need that.

I have attached a simple application with a QPlainTextEdit, a QLineEdit and a QTextEdit that shows the problem. It starts up with a small selection of symbols, some of which fail to render with Qt 5. Attached screen shots showing what it looks like on my machine.
