showMaximized() does not fit layout to available screen space for S60

Using a moderately complex layout such as the one attached, Qt does not size the window to fit the available space on the screen (between the title bar and the soft keys bar).

Whenever the device is rotated, the application can be observed to redraw twice - the first time, it fits the layout elements into the available space. Then it immediately redraws with the window sized incorrectly, such that the window size exceeds the available space.
