Pointers and References Code Style preferences does not seem to work

Tools => Options => C++ => Pointers and References; Tick only Type name and Left const/volatile (which makes the preview look like my preferred display).

OK => Apply/OK

This change did not seem to have any effect on how any code is autocompleted/formatted after pasting, pressing tab for autocomplete, etc.

Still uses the default positioning:

Restarting Qt Creator or the whole system did not fix this issue.
