The "Use full path information to set breakpoints" option has no effect

I'm using Qt Creator on windows and "Use full path information to set breakpoints" has no effect, it always uses filenames to set breakpoints with no path.

Further more if I try in the breakpoints window to right click on a breakpoint and select "Use full path" it also has no effect (if I right click again it will still display the use full path option instead of use short path).
