Description
Default parameters in method calls typically reduce the line noise caused by the repetitive passing of often trivial arguments.
However, d3fault values on the mailing lists seem to behave exactly the opposite way and turn out to be too expensive to process. They are repetitive, noisy, and consist of complex arguments with too many nested parenthesis often veering from the point.
