Ability to enter message without markup.

Most of the bug report description and comments contains code, listings or even ascii art.
Jira has wiki markup, but reporter does not know it or does not want to learn it

I suggest that there would be a combobox or a checkbox where one can select if the message/comment is in markup or in plain text.
And if it is in plain text, just display it with a monospace font, as bugzilla does.

We even maybe should default to plain text.

I think this would improve a lot the readability of many bug reports and comments.
